Kretschmann and Hoffmeister-Kraut visit OPTIMA at the Hanover Fair

The world's leading industrial trade fair, the Hannover Messe, took place from April 17 to 21. Together with many other companies from the region, Optima was represented at the joint Baden-Württemberg stand "The Länd". The company presented its hydrogen technologies and production facilities for fuel cells at the fair. Optima's innovations attracted political interest at the highest level. Baden-Württemberg's Minister President Winfried Kretschmann as well as Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism in Baden-Württemberg, visited the company and were enthusiastic about the solutions for a sustainable future.

CO2-neutral production, energy management, Industry 4.0, AI and machine learning as well as hydrogen and fuel cells. What is currently occupying the industry was illustrated at this year's Hannover Messe by innovative approaches to solutions from over 4,000 companies.

With its production equipment for fuel cells, Optima is making a significant contribution to a hydrogen-based industry. In order to increase the production capacities of fuel cells, the group of companies has developed corresponding machine solutions. The process steps required in production - cutting, joining and stacking of the individual layers - are thus automated. The range is wide: from pilot machines to full-scale automation, everything is included.

Optima's innovations have aroused political interest at the highest level at the Hannover Messe. On the first day of the trade fair, Winfried Kretschmann, Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, visited the company at its stand and expressed his enthusiasm for the solutions offered by the family-owned company from Schwäbisch Hall with the words "The country needs people like this". Kretschmann praised Optima for its pioneering spirit and the transformation processes of digitalization and sustainability back in May 2022 as part of its 100th anniversary.

Another political visit was scheduled for the third day of the trade fair: Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economics, Labor and Tourism in Baden-Württemberg, also showed great interest in Optima's hydrogen technologies and production facilities for fuel cells.
